Have a good flight home, Mame. You did well indeed, and you hung
in there until the end. This was quite an undertaking and very few
could have done what you did. Kudos kiddo!!

Is there anyone left then? If yes, who is cooking then?

Roger, I'm looking forward to meeting you, too!

CJ: the camp manager will demob AND do the cooking. Nepotism at its finest - his dad and sons will help, so I'm sure no one will complain. Smile Lotsa food left due to the surprise exit of Drill Crew No. 1.

Next report will be on the next 'incident' in my life. I wrote a story with pics about this camp, "As the Drill Turns, or not" which they loved. All their pecadilloes are in it.

Bon voyage, dear Mame. Enjoy the toilet-- real sit-downer--a shower, maybe a bubble bath, hair and nails done, and general, lovely pampering.

There should be a movie about you. Hm, already is one called.....Mame.

Doubt the movie will be the equal of the book, but I'll check it out, I'm bored....

Thank you, everybody, for your kind comments. It's been a weird sort of experience with the first crew that came in, all the injuries and replacements, extra drill crew, the miles of overburden, broken down drills, etc... I wish we'd started with the second crew... very normal people - it would have set a completely different tone. However, I'd do it again (and hope I will).

Next time it will be all about bugs, you can bet your boots on that. But hopefully we'll all do a thread about the ABQ meet up first.

(Roger, I think I do resemble RR, around the bosom area. But that's about it. Very Happy )

Ciao for now and thanks again.
