Thanks for the art market photo!
There has been a bit more art along the beach - like in 'real' summer
A closer view

The sea front here stretches over a couple of miles - called "La Croisette"

The film festival attracks quite a few famous actors, who made their handprints in stone near the festival hall

They stay in the Grand Hotels, the first to be seen here in the background and later again

So I'd walked from the other side of the bay ...
... to where this bus is going, a casino.

Back in Nice I remebered that I hadn't seen the port there besides from above.
The church and buildings at the Place de l'Île-de-Beautée. facing/siding the port

There are regular ferry services to Corsica from Nice, and quite often cruise ships start from here.
Like last Sunday: a former German ship, still with Germa´n crew .... and four coaches with passengers from my region just had arrived

And so beer and food came - "of course" - directly from Germany, too.
A few more boats and the rest of the photos will follow tomorrow

This thread is a breath of fresh air.
It is dull and grey here this time of year. This reminds me of my own trip to Marseille-Nice-Monaco several years ago. Wonderful memories.
Thank you, Walter.

Since it was such a nice evening sun, I not only walked around the harbour ...
but decided to get up to the castle mountain again, on my last day on the Riviera and in Nice.
