Generally when you are against something, it's a sign of a good position, Cj.

The truth is that it isn't Obama's campaign that is causing pettiness and snippiness, it is people like yourself who are doing it. You oughta grow up. It isn't as if everyone here doesn't know you support Hillary, fine, whatever. Just don't be a dick about it.

A fine an example of projection as I have seen in a long time.

Huh?
I am against veganism and general stupidity. I don't want to outlaw them though.

I agree with you-- the Obama campaign has taken the high moral ground, and this causes discomfort among those who are prone to be sceptics. While his speeches sound pretty, maybe they could be no more than hot air. In my estimation, a legitimate concern.
Obama says nothing quite eloquently.
Actually Cyclop has a point; Hillary really has not any more "testing" than Obama has to this point. And it is being close minded to say that Obama is hollow and his speeches are prettily done but say nothing. Speeches are not designed to lay out point by point plans but give an outline of ideas. If anyone bothers to look on Obama's website underneath his pretty speeches he has point by point steps to issues; problems and plans and solutions. A person may not agree with him or think his solutions are impractical or just plain wrong; but he does have substance underneath his pretty speeches.

I'm not saying he is hollow. I am saying it could be hollow. He could be a great president or a lousy one, you never know. I am talking about the fever attached to Obamamania.

understood; don't necessarily agree but I understand what you are saying.
Yes, how dare the voters actually be enthusiastic about the person they want to be president!
We've become so used to voting for the least worst of a bunch of bad choices that any enthusiasm about a candidate immediately turns them into one of the bad choices.

An excellent question, BPB.
Let me know if he ever answers it.

I wish he would too.
This double-standard has been very disturbing.

Not "how dare" at all. Simply skeptical. Fer crying out loud, the guy is filling stadiums and he's managed to kick Clinton out of her presumtive nominee position. That's a big deal. Especially for those who are Clinton supporters.
Nobody demands a double-standard. Everyone on A2K has the right to post what they wish, where they wish.
It isn't that I won't tolerate negative posts about Obama - far from it. But, can they at least be substantial? The vast majority of attacks against him have no substance to them whatsoever, and this goes double for ones coming from BpB. And many attacks are leveled against the supporters as well, with not even a pretense of policy or issue discussion. Just sour grapes and vitriol.
If people want to point out that I'm not perfect, fine. I never have claimed to be a paragon of virtue. It justifies nothing, however, to do so.

Not much of an answer on your part, and, in fact, quite supportive of my case; thank you very much.
When you work up the sac to do some research and post criticism of Obama or others which is based upon factual analysis or policy positions, you'll be taken more seriously.
Cycloptichorn
and being taken seriously, particularly on a forum full of people I've never met and probably never will is one of my major goals in life. Don't get me wrong. I've grown fond of many of the people here.
But that doesn't change the fact that you nailed it. You're geenyus.
PS I thought my answer was perfect, economical and to the point.
