GROAN.
But, I'm going to accept it Wandeljw. Since Talullah was the only one on the lifeboat in the beginning, I guess all of the survivors on it hitched a ride. Laughing

Hitchhiking:
1 : to travel by securing free rides from passing vehicles
2 : to be carried or transported by chance or unintentionally <destructive insects hitchhiking on ships>
transitive verb : to solicit and obtain (a free ride) especially in a passing vehicle

Shall we include "Titanic"? Nah! Let's get back on the road.

Well raggedy, under those circumstances...

32. Castaway (Tom Hanks did hitch a ride with that ocean freighter. Even if he was unconscious.)

Yeah, this could get out of hand.

Matt Damon was also unconscious when he "hitched" a ride on the fishing boat in Bourne Identity. That'll be #33 if Raggedy's rules are this bendable. Very Happy

Well, I'm confused now, but assuming some entries were jokes, I will go for no.

33. Western (1997), A Russian and a Spanish guy hitchhiking in France (well, it's more complicated than that, but makes for worthwhile viewing)

So if somebody, let's say, jumps on the top of a train or rides in the baggage car, that's hitchhiking? Definitely expands my horizons.

A popular theme in hitchhiking movies is giving transportation to strangers who may be dangerous. That theme is present in "Lifeboat" and "Alien".

This is definitely getting out of hand.
I've just had three power outages and a helluva time getting into this thread and I'm not going to take it any more. I'm sticking my head out the window and yelling..................

So, the definition of hitchhiking for this topic is:

Dictionary.com
"To travel by standing on the road and soliciting rides from passing vehicles."
(Vehicles do NOT include vehicles in the water or air, or trains, bicycles, scooters, snow vehicles, and if you think of anything else, it's not included either. Laughing )
I shall be back with a recap because that listing just disappeared from my file.

And a Happy Valentine's Day to all.

I swear to God raggedy... Jim Hutton was on the side of the road, thumb out and a sign around his neck and Paula Prentiss, Yvette Mimeaux and Connie Francis came along in their four-wheeled vehicle and picked him up.
Come on. You remember.
