I must point this out...
In "The Bad Seed", Leroy is not the gardener per se. Technically he's the apartment building's janitor/maintenance man but there is a scene where he does water the grass so perhaps, under those circumstances, it counts?
42. Phenomenon (John Travolta has a hungry bunny trapped inside his fenced veggie garden)

What say you, Wandeljw - any flowers or vegetables in that plot of ground that the janitor watered? Watering the lawn doesn't count.

Gardening was one of his duties. My friendship with you rides on your decision, raggedy!
Oh! That's too important a decision for me to make.
eoe - anybody - Help!
Maybe this will help. A photo from the film of the Leroy character, looking like a young gustavratzenhofer.
THAT PICTURE IS A HOOT!!!
I would say, you've won your points, Wandeljw!
Make that a new rule. If your pick is questioned-you gotta sell it!!
I'm sold. How about you raggedy?

Me, too.
For you Wandeljw:

Thanks, eoe and raggedy! I actually enjoyed researching that classic film. Critical essays are still being written fifty years later. The entire cast has been praised for their "over-the-top" performances.
"The Bad Seed" was very heavy for it's time. I still can't watch it again. Little Rhoda and ol' Leroy just creep me out way too much.
Uh oh. Didn't the photo of the queen used to be a photo of a strange-looking gardener from the Bad Seed? Or am I having one of my spells?
I don't know how to answer that comment, Roberta.
43. Bed of Roses (Christian Slater is a florist)
Am I the only one who sees the queen instead of the gardener?
I think that photo of Elizabeth was raggedy presenting wandeljw with flowers from the queen for winning his argument for the inclusion of "The Bad Seed".
Thanks, eoe. I'm feeling a lot better now.
Roberta, this is the other photo you were thinking about:
