Wow. Two more and we'll reach 50. I'm trying to decide whether "mountain climbing" or "masquerade party/ball" should be next.

One question: does masquerade include people dressing up as Santa Claus, or is it limited to special circumstances? What about Halloween?

6. Le Bal masqué (1981), about the assassination of Gustav III, king of Sweden, during a masquerade (in 1792)
