Any question involving a Mel Blanc movie is hard, because he made so many movies. Don't obsess too much about this question, or you'll run the risk of becoming like the main character of the book/movie I'm looking for.
There's a hint there, but........ .........
I'll post the three I have and be back this evening, I hope. This one's driving me bonkers.
1. The Portrait of Jenny (Jennifer Jones) No Way To Treat A Lady (Rod Steiger)
2. The So's Your Old Man ( W. C. Fields) and Beyond the Sea (Kate Bosworth)
3. How to Marry a Millionaire (Monroe) The Green Mile (Duncan) How Tasty Was My Little Frenchman (Jose Kleber) Valley of the Dolls (Barbara Parkins
Yes to the first three. The last one is a whale of a question, and I could just blubber at the thought that it's causing you distress, but I'm sure the answer will sail into your head eventually.
Well, look who's sputtering and blubbering now?

Thank you, Bree. I must have paddled past "Moby Duck" three times or more. When you said "obsessed", I couldn't get Heathcliff out of my thoughts. Ahab never entered my mind.
Moby Duck (Mel Blanc)
Dick Tracy (Glenne Headly)
Since when have you ever been able to get Heathcliff out of your thoughts? Moby Dick/Duck is correct, of course.
I've recorded Wuthering Heights twice, (on two separate DVDs), just in case I might lose or scratch one. One can never be too careful about such matters.
So, who goes next? Or shall we wait until tomorrow?
Where such an important matter is concerned, there's no such thing as being too careful!
I think the Yankees need my attention for the rest of the evening, so why don't we wait until tomorrow to start another round?
Sounds good to me and it doesn't matter to me who posts first.
Go Yankees!
Good Morning. I'm glad I didn't yell "Go Yankees" too loud last evening. I just found out who they beat. (lol)
Here's a question to start the day. Post your question whenever you're ready, Bree. If we post one question at a time, it won't be as time consuming, ---- unless Mel Blanc is involved.
Book made into a movie:
Leslie Howard (2) + Bette Davis (1)
The Scarlet Pimpernel -- The Letter
Correct???
Well hello there, Wandeljw. You are absolutely correct.

Do you have one for us?
I like this "book into movie" format but it would take me a while to construct one. I do have an "offbeat" Academy Award question.
The "Batman" TV series in the 1960's had some very good actors playing "guest villains". Burgess Meredith, who had won an Oscar for "Of Mice and Men", played a villain called "The Penguin". There are two actors who played guest villains and then later went on to win Best Actor Oscars. Can you name them?
Good one. I'm thinking about it.
My question is even more difficult if you were not in the habit of watching the Batman TV show.
Here are some clues: one of the 2 actors worked almost exclusively in film; the other worked on TV, film, and stage but is best known for a character he played on TV.
Would they be:
Art Carney (who played "The Archer" on Batman, and won a best actor Oscar for Harry and Tonto)
Cliff Robertson (who played "Shame" on Batman, and won a best actor Oscar for Charly)
Raggedy, I wondered if you knew who the Yankees were playing when you rooted them on! Did you know it was the first time the two teams have played each other since a certain someone (whose name is not mentioned in my presence) hit a home run to win the 1960 World Series?
I'll try to think of a new "book title" question to post shortly.
Bree is correct. I hope she hasn't spent too much time watching old reruns of "Batman". I recently saw a Batman rerun where George Sanders played Mr. Freeze.

No, but I watched them when they were on in the 60's, and I remember things from those days much better than I remember things that happen now!
Or how about George Sanders as Mr. Freeze (Oscar, All About Eve) and Ann Baxter as Zelda (Oscar, Razor's Edge)
or Shelley Winters as Ma Parker (Oscar, A Place in the Sun)
I must admit Wandeljw, I didn't watch the Batman series so I don't know if the above were guests or regulars. But, I loved the comic books.
Oh, Bree, I remember that game, - his name was Bill, something or other, beginning with "M"?
New book title question:
Lily Tomlin (1) + Maureen O'Hara (1) + Sessue Hayakawa (2) + Siobhan McKenna (1) + Adolphe Menjou (1)
All of Me (Tomlin) + The Quiet Man (O'Hara) + The Bridge on the River Kwai (Hayakawa) + Playboy of the Western World (McKenna) + The Front Page (Menjou)
