She goes to a psychiatrist to quit smoking.
On A Clear Day You Can See Forever
Yep!
(Ok, would you have gotten it so easily if I said, "She answers phones before they ring?")
Nope. It was the smoking that did it for me. I'd go to a psychiatrist, too, if he looked like Yves Montand. (LOL)

Her father gets mad the first time she wears a bustier on stage.

Although by now he is already doing well money wise, his partner gets his money invested with Apple and so money is something he will never have to worry about.
Hi EOE. Take a glance at Lightwizard's pending question several posts up. We are proceeding with an Interim question, but I am really stuck on Wizard's q.
An inbetweener:
A bank robber kidnaps a straightlaced veterinarian and his hotsy-totsy little wife.
Im stuck too! So, continue EOE!
Saw LW's clue last night. I have no idea.
Take the Money and Run? (wild guess)
It is the afternoon of a summer's day. A twenty-five-year-old brunette comes out from the entrance of a stately building and walks along a pathway that leads up to a dirt road. She is in a great hurry and becomes a little annoyed and surprised at seeing her father, a meticulously dressed and elderly gentleman, standing near the curb busily talking to his chauffeur in front of a black British car.
That would be a definite clue to pin it down to two years. It has two different release dates but if you want the first one, it's an oldie.
Black and white foreign film.
Not: 39 Steps; Hounds of Baskervilles, This Earth is Mine, Georgy Girl, or Dangerous Liaisons
Awaiting reply on Black Orpheus and Belle de Jour
Not "Black Orpheus" or "Belle de Jour." And Raggedy is right - "Georgy Girl" is b&w.
I guess we've two going, but this one admittedly isn't and easy one so I'll give another clue:
Two of the characters in the middle of the film are wandering around deserted streets as an ominous black train passes through.
