Hey I just googled the guy and actually found him. He's a voice professor, and has sung opera all over the country. Very Happy

OK. Keep us in suspense Laughing But, you could at least tell us if he's married.

Ah, he's not the marrying type...

Several of my early crushes were gay. It took me a while to sort that out!

Real-life President - Wild Wild West (as Grant)
Fictional President - Dave
Teacher - The Emperor's Club and In & Out
Real-life movie star - Chaplin (as Douglas Fairbanks)

This took a long time because I was looking for actors who had played obvious choices like Lincoln, FDR, JFK, etc. -- using Grant for the real-life president was a nice idea!

You got them all and I forgot to mention that he was a teacher in two movies. I forgot the Emperor's Club which I never saw.

That's funny, because I never saw it either, and I added it at the last minute after originally listing only In & Out as the "teacher" movie!

I can't decide whether to stay up and watch the Red Sox win the World Series for the first time in 86 years (as it looks like they're about to do), or go to bed and pull the covers over my head and pretend it isn't happening. Either way, I won't have a new question until tomorrow!

hmmm. Difficult decision for you, Bree. Easy one for me. I'm going to crawl under the covers and watch Fiddler on the Roof and hopefully fall asleep (it's recording downstairs).

came to mind first. I'm heading out for lunch and grocery shopping in a few minutes, but will be back around 2PM to see if I was lucky.

fictional president - Air Force One

police detective - Witness; Hollywood Homicide - (he was a Policeman, don't know about Detective, in Random Hearts, too.)

businessman - Sabrina; Working Girl?

doctor - The Fugitive, What Lies Beneath?

You're not lucky, you're good! I was thinking of Frantic instead of What Lies Beneath for the second "doctor" movie, but other than that, you got all the ones I was thinking of.

I'm back. - which reminds me of a story I just heard:

Steven Spielberg was making a movie about the lives and times of famous composers. He was in the casting process and had Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger in for an interview.

Stallone was quite excited about the film and asked, "Can I play the part of Mozart? I've always wanted to play Mozart."

Spielberg reluctantly agreed. He then asked Arnold if he had a particular character in mind.

Arnold fixed him with a steely gaze and said, "I'll be Bach." Rolling Eyes

Here's another President one:

Real-life U.S. President
Former real-life U.S. President
Real-life author
Priest

Sorry for the delay.

Yes to Anthony Hopkins. I was thinking of Shadowlands (C. S. (Jack) Lewis) for the writer. I thought the Priest might be the tricky one.

Ah yes, Shadowlands would have been much better, if only I'd thought of it! I only suggested the Dickens thing (which I thought was probably wrong, since it was a TV movie) out of desperation. My back-up choice was Peter and Paul, another TV movie, in which Hopkins played St. Paul. I figured, if you really wanted to stretch things, you could call Paul an author, since he wrote all those epistles!

I need to think about the next question...
