I just discovered that Frank Mills isn't on the movie soundtrack, Bree. I saw Hair in 1970, I think. Theater was packed.

Was that at the Nixon theatre If so, I was there too! ( I think it was the Nixon!)

Hi fealola! Good to see you!

For bree's beverage, I'm going for Bloody Mary from South Pacific. Very Happy Good one - good drink too...

Fealola: Are you the redhead that was waving her arms wildly? The one that was in the fifth row at the Nixon and was blocking my view of the eagerly anticipated last scene. Say it isn't so.

1968 Broadway cast of Hair:
Steve Curry, Ronald Dyson, Sally Eaton, Diane Keaton, Lynn Kellogg (I loved her voice), Paul Jabra, Melba Moore, James Rado, to name a few.

Mac: Good answer. One of my favorite musicals. I must have been circulating with the wrong crowd, though. All I was ever offered at brunch was coffee or tea. Sad

mac is correct -- it's Bloody Mary.

Of course, my favorite line from Bloody Mary is, "Her skin is tender as DiMaggio's glove"!

Damn Yankees - Shoeless Joe from Hannibal, Mo.

Did my reference to the DiMaggio line in Bloody Mary perhaps suggest a baseball tie-in?

Yes it did. And it made me laugh out loud because I always thought Bloody Mary was saying "Emanuel's Glove", and never understood why. Now I know. Thank you. Laughing

Would you like to ask one?

De-Lovely - Let's Misbehave

Let's Misbehave is also on the soundtrack for Bullets Over Broadway, which I love. The soundtrack isn't just Cole Porter, but songs from that era by a number of different composers.

Yes to Let's Misbehave

I loved the movie, Bullets Over Broadway and just looked at the soundtrack. I had forgotten all those oldies were in that movie.

hmm. I'll change that to:

A pretty little plot of land that's no longer in vogue.

(And I am repeating movies)

I keep getting stuck on the lyrics to Thou Swell, which is from A Connecticut Yankee, which was never made into a movie:

I'd feel so rich in a hut for two
Two rooms and kitchen I'm sure would do
Give me just a plot of, not a lot of land
And thou swell, thou witty, thou grand!
