Raggedy, your wish is my command! Last night I went to a one-man show by Max Morath, called "Ragtime and Again." For those who aren't familiar with Max Morath, here's a link to his website:

Max Morath's website

The evening consisted of ragtime music (and other music of the ragtime era) played on the piano and sung by Morath, interspersed with talk about the songwriters of that era. I had mixed feelings about the show: I enjoyed the music, but found most of the talk excruciatingly corny.

Walter Cronkite (looking much the same as ever, even though he's now 87 years old) and his wife were in the audience. At intermission, the theater director came over to to welcome Cronkite to the theater, and then stayed and talked to him for several minutes. I couldn't make up my mind if the director was shamelessly hustling for a donation, or was just genuinely pleased to see Cronkite in the audience (probably a little of each).

Oh, Thank You, Bree. I just listened to Max singing I got a Ragtime Cat and a Ragtime Hat, etc. I don't care for Max's voice, but love the piano. But, not as much as the piano in Ragtime, the musical, or the movie for that matter. Very Happy Walter Cronkite 87 years old? My, how time does fly.

Want a clue? Yep. But since the rules require 3 guesses, I'll guess:

History of the World, Part 1

Now, please sir, may I have a clue?

Hiama: I have a very strong feeling that "Don't Look Now" is the answer to your scene. What say you?

Raggedy, I'm sure you're right about Don't Look Now. I say, if hiama doesn't come back and confirm that you're right by tomorrow, you should go ahead and start a new round.

By the way, did you know that To Kill a Mockingbird is going to be shown on TCM tomorrow (Tuesday) night at 8? Unfortunately, I don't get TCM, so I'll have to miss it.

Good Morning.

Bree: Thank you. I will most definitely watch To Kill A Mockingbird again. Oh, I wish you had access to TCM. It's Oscar month, but what makes it special is that they are also showing movies that have been Oscar nominated in a particular category, such as costume, music, etc., resulting in so many old gems. Starting this Friday, they will feature the Oscar winning movies. (and no commercials) If I'm not mistaken TCM has switched from Digital Cable to Basic Cable. Do you have cable TV?

And yes, it's time to get the show on the road.

Yes to My Favorite Year, Mac. And my clue was going to be what Peter O'Toole ate for dinner. Do you remember? He asked what the "pungent tasting" dish was. Laughing

I do have basic cable, Raggedy, so I'll have to check and see if TCM is available now. I try to keep the number of cable channels I pay for to a minimum, because during baseball season I spend so much time watching baseball games that it's kind of a waste to have a lot of other channels!

No clue on mac's movie....
