That's the one I saw! But I just can't remember the name of it. Arrrrgggghhhhhh!!!
OHHH! The Old Maid.
The female lead was Miss Davis.
Good job, eoe!
By the way, I love your latest avatar.
YES to The Old Maid, EOE. (I like both the Avatars you've used. )
Mac and EOE: Did the hint OLD and "made" give it to you? or did you see the movie?
Thanks.
I saw it a while back but it was the old and 'made' from your clue that did it for me.
I have no clues and on my way out. Someone please take my turn.
Your clue eventually sunk in for me, Raggedy.
The movie scene question is open if anyone would like to take it.
Mac:
Here's another Oldie, but not as old as the Bette Davis ones. I think I asked this one before.
Oldie:
An amnesiac woman who has been released from an asylum wanders the streets, alone, confused and dejected. Just as she is about to jump into the river, a stranger comes to her rescue.
...and that woman was me because I think you did ask that one before and darned if I remember!

And I'll bet you saw this one.
Yes, EOE. It is Anastasia.

Your turn.
An oldie:
The scoundrel stuck his foot out and the 'waiter' tripped, spilling a customers' dinner all over the floor. The customer, with the help of his sidekick, was prepared to take up the waiters' fight, insisting that the scoundrel bend down and pick up the spilled tray but the waiter, infuriated by his help and outraged that people would be so prepared to fight and die over such a small thing, picked it up himself.
White Heat?
Public Enemy Number One?
I Was a Fugitive From a Chain Gang?
Hey guys. I'm going out of town for a few days so let's hold off. Someone start a new movie scene and we'll get back to this one next week.
The man who shot Liberty Valance
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance is correct, hiama.
