I don't usually post on this thread - consider me as always wishing all of you a peaceful sleep (or at least interesting one). But, Dutchy, kiddo, I worry about your eye. And I worry about waiting a month. Can you get a second opinion?
If I were you (and I'm not, of course), I'd bull my way in to talk with experts, as soon as I could.

I had some retinal tears myself, and a lot of other lollapalooza, but of course I don't know what is going on re your eye. Are you dealing with a university eye department? This is time to be demanding.

Thank you for your kind words and concerns ossobuco. I've been told the Dr. I am dealing with is one of the best in the business so I'm hopeful he can fix my problem. At the moment things are still blurry when I cover my good eye. I'm dealing with a private practitioner, I'm not one who looks for second opinions and will go with the present bloke.

Is your ophthalmologist and your surgeon the same person?
I liked the doc who screwed up my eye and I consider myself discerning.
The rigamarole the first surgeon gave me was scoffed at by my new surgeon five year later.
Surgeon number two didn't screw up.
