For the first time since the Intifada uprising seven years ago all 2,000 hotel beds in Bethlehem are booked, Inigo Gilmour reports.
According to Bethlehem's mayor, 40,000 pilgrims are expected to visit over the Christmas period as the town enjoys an extended period of peace.
For the tourists, along with the traditional shrines, there's a more modern attraction on the map. 'Santa's Ghetto' is an exhibition by a group of international artists including the graffiti artist Banksy
