One of my favorites - Shocked

I've seen rooms full of his works in Europe.

Also, have seen the original of Munch's (the Scream) in Vienna - of course. At the time of the showing, the pics were above the stables of the Lipizzaners - those white horses of history. I viewed many masters works while smelling the dung of the horses below. BELIEVE IT OR NOT !

True Story.

I believe it! Rolling Eyes All clicked! Cool

Stradee, what a list !!

Inuit ? "Happy New Year !!" ((they speak english you know Shocked Very Happy ))

Reminds me of a trip to Vienna many years ago with some close friends. One of the friends was a lady from Gig Harbor, WA who needed to cash some travelers checks. I told her to go to the bank across the street from the apartment and cash whatever she needed. She was too scared to do so and not being able to speak German asked if I would go and help her. We went across the street into the bank up to the teller - at which point I said in plain english that my friend wanted to cash some travelers checks - the teller, in excellent english said she could. Which she did.
I found many people in the Czech Rep only months after the fall of the USSR in the early '90's spoke perfect english. Slovakia and Hungary also. As well as everywhere else in the European Continent.

LOL ~ yep, most people speak English, even if i don't travel further than the California/Nevada boarder anymore.

What a marvelous story! Stradee will travel, and it does a person good knowing she won't get stranded with only a guide book and an unfamiliar language list of how to ask questions! "Hello, my names Stradee, what's your name, and where the hell am I"??? Shocked

I'm kidding, of course. A dear friend who's traveled extensively said she was graciously greeted by people who spoke their native language, and perfect English also. Russia, during the cold war, was a wonderful surprise as many of the people she met spoke English.

So i'll just say to all the Inuit wildclickers ~ Happy New Year! Very Happy

It would have been more beautiful if my furnace had been working Evil or Very Mad

Thank goodness it's all fixed up today. The temperature's dropping like a stone. All of that soft, fluffy snow turned into crust. Yuck!
