@Stradee,
We did the early vote thing - easy here in this small town.

ehBeth, that's great about your dance intructor. I was close to there at Ft Bragg for a tour of duty. Once while returning to Ft Bragg my flight was diverted to Raliegh, NC because a hurricane was close off shore (approx 1980). All aboard were transported to the local bus station to be sent on to our destinations. My bus was scheduled to depart at about 3 am. I sat in my Army uniform for hours listening to the bums and motorcycle gangs raising hell. When my bus was announced, I picked up my suitcase and started walking to the door - one of the bikers started to run towards me. I mentally braced myself for a defense. When the biker got to me he opened the door for me and said, "There you are, Sir." I was stunned, but managed a thank you . True story.

@danon5,
I got so excited about the election results that I forgot to collect the numbers.

Here's hoping we all wake up to great news for the U.S., and for all of us.

Hugs to all the Wildclickers, everywhere.

It’s a beautiful day in this neighborhood,
A beautiful day for a neighbor,
Would you be mine? Could you be mine?

It’s a neighborly day in this beautywood,
A neighborly day for a beauty,
Would you be mine? Could you be mine?

I have always wanted to have a neighbor just like you,
I’ve always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.

So let’s make the most of this beautiful day,
Since we’re together, we might as well say,
Would you be mine? Could you be mine?
Won’t you be my neighbor?

Won’t you please, won’t you please,
Please won’t you be my neighbor?

Another unbelievably gorgeous day here in Michigan. Tomorrow it will change. Until then....
Meeting an old friend at an even older Mexican restaurant this evening. I'm always partial to enchiladas. Partiality check....?

@Stradee,
Alex, yep, been there - seen it - done them - - - - - errrr, something like that...grin. Typhoooooons of course. One night my airplane was totally surrounded by St. Elmos fire - that static electric thing that makes the entire plane glow white with greenish tones. It was really fun.

Thanks, Stradee. I admire McCain for his service - but, it was a war we lost and should never have entered in the first place - just like Iraq.

I am still stunned at the hospitality of the Vietnamese people who welcome us even today to visit - even the northern people we damaged and killed so much. They are an amazing culture. The people I talked with were all really friendly, nice and sincere folks. And, I can from first hand tell you all that the country is one of the most beautiful in all of Asia. I've been to many of them and some I can't talk about even today.

All clicked. Nuther tree smiling. And, that is what really counts today.

@Stradee,
Hello everybody.
Stradee. Neat article. My county just received an E.P.A grant for a hundred and seventy thousand to retrofit one hundred and eighty school busses with emission reduction devices.(The diesel oxidation catalysts break down chemical pollutants in the exhaust stream into less harmful components.)

...and along the line of leaves, mulch. (Have extra rake)

@alex240101,
g' day all

Alex, that's good news! and we should begin seeing emissions conversions with all county and city buses and vehicles in the near future. Compressed Natural Gas fuels three of my counties buses. Not certain if the transitions been done for school buses though.

Love the leaf colors - even when they're on the ground. Today a bit of trimming, then tomorrow its leaf distribution day. Good weather, too!!

Beth, generally my workday begins at 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm, so i'll be having a lunch break at 5:00 - when its dark outside. sigh

Dan, it isn't surprising how we're greeted by the Vietnamese - both sides suffered terrible losses with governments calling the shots. People are people after all. Smile Hope for the healing of Iraqis and Americans soon.
