@danon5,
A quiet night here for little Hallowe'eners.

We usually get 100 - 125. Tonight, just about 60. I appreciated every one of those little people. Kinda neat, lots of recent immigrants in the crowd - with kids translating for the parents about what was going on (along with the kiddie goodies, I had tea samples from Tetley to hand out for the parents). It was lovely to have a little extra time with some of them, but I missed the big crowds. It'll be different the next year it's not a weekend night.

@msolga,
Thumbs up, msolga! Very Happy

Beth, Halloween is very quiet here in the foothills. Lil halloween goblins parents bring the kids to areas where the trek to the next house isn't a mile away. Did buy treats though just in case. Smile

Sitting on the porch listening to the rain. Hurray! Yesterday, today, and more expected for Saturday and Sunday! sweet

Have a good evening, all ~

@Stradee,
For the fifteenth year in a row, we didn't get any candy seekers. But, that's what happens when you are in the last house on a dead end road. We HAD to finish the chocolates ourselves. GRIN

Hi, everyone! I guess it's been almost a year since I last posted but I haven't forgotten you - have just been dealing with personal stuff and making some major changes in my life (all for the better). My daughter is still studying Japanese and art in college and is doing quite well. My son graduated from Law School with high honors in May and passed the Bar exam a few weeks ago. He was officially sworn in as an attorney last week. I just quickly scanned through a small portion of this thread and I was sorry to read about the challenges some of you are going through right now. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and hope all turns out well. I will try to check back in with you again sometime soon.

@Matrix500,
Matrix! Fantastic to see you! You're a lawyer-mom now, that's great. Your daughter's combo of interests is intriguing. I'd love to hear more about that.

Don't be a stranger, msolga, we can use all the encouragement we can get to keep clicking. It's been a long haul.

Hey there danon and stradee. I hope you enjoyed your candies and the autumn air. Set and I snacked on some little chocos last night - not as many kids as usual, so more leftovers than usual.

@Matrix500,
Matrix, so good seeing you here again!

Terrific news! Daughter and son learning and growing - my god - seems like yesterday they were just beginning college! Sending good thoughts that all is well with you also. Take care and please don't wait another year to stop by and say 'hi' to the Wildclickers. We miss your postings! Smile

msolga, howdy to you too!! Very Happy

Beth, i cannot recall how many years we've been clicking for the rainforest, but its also been a wonderful journey meeting extrodinary people along the way. Keep up the good work!

Dan, steady rain for the Sierras, and a supply of chocolate.

Heaven Very Happy
