Sweet! Smile

Well, hmm, I have to assume you know how to cook rice because it's used in Greek cooking (isn't it? Or am I confused this early in the AM?). If so, then there are lots of things you can do with rice. Essentially, you can use it as a medium for other things. Also, rice is a good whole grain, with lots of fiber.

Rice
some sort of meat, or tofu
some sort of sauce, can be something very light
vegetables

Frankly, I don't follow a lot of recipes any more but that's also because I've been cooking for a long time. When you're first starting out, it can be easier to follow regular directions.

Mum how do you cook a roast beef?

Take some cooking classes at night.

Tell your girl you are going to take some cooking classes at night, suggest to her it might be fun to do this together.

What a cool date.

Well she isn't my girlfriend yet. I'm still to nervous to ask her out.

Cooking classes sound fun.

I look that up on Google to see what they have in my area. And I'll post recipes I like if I find one I like.

I just read your poem and this thread, Leaka. That is so sweet.

If you are in Raleigh, that may be my daughter at the coffee shop. She would find you terribly romantic.

Do you mind if I share your poem with her?

BTW, an American girl might really like Greek food...

No I'm in California.
And I embarrassed now. I....
Well I'm not a girl. I'm just not a macho male. I think that we should be who ever we are and never should hide ourselves due to stereotypes. I think we should always be who want to be as well. We should never let society tell us that we have to be a girly girl and a macho male.

I also think we should be proud of who are and never hide it.

Thats a strange thought.
I never knew that it mattered how your name ended to make female or male.
Well the character that I named in one of my stories is name Leaka and looks like a girl, but is actually male.

Caribou thats a bit interesting. I can cook you a mean Greek Pasta if you want.
Though you'll have to eat the virtual bits or something.

Leaka, this girl at the coffee shop - do you eat together there?

I thought you might know what she'd like to eat based on what she orders - it doesn't have to be anything complicated.

~~~
Oh, and I agree that she'd probably like it if you cooked something Greek.
Sometimes in the afternoon when I'm in there doing my homework she sits beside me.
She eats stuff from the coffee shop mostly. Like cranberry scones, nut and oat scone, and a lemon icing scone.
You think she would like my Greek cooking.
If she sits with you she likes you enough to chance asking her out. yes you can ask her if she you can cook something for her.
the best thing would be to ask her to help you cook.
make a dessert. Chicks dig sweet things.
But what happens if she doesn't like me? I'm just a little nervous cause she giggles at every word I say.
Sometimes I get self concious about and maybe she thinks my accent is funny.
And I don't know. I have many Greek desserts. I could make her this delicious cranberry Greek cake.
Oh I don't know.
(But at least I'm getting food advice and girl advice at the same time.)
She giggles because she likes you and is embarresed about how she feels.
she giggles because she likes you doesnt know what to say to you.
Trust an old man on this. she likes you.
Old greek saying.
The way to mans heart is through his stomache (and what hangs off it).
Yeah but this is a girl. And the quote is clearly talking about man. lol!
I guess I like my accent I think its cool.
Actually I think she laughed the hardest when I was talking to my friend earlier.
He told me my accent was weird.
And I told him that it was a cool accent.
She started giggling hysterically and I didn't know why.(are you sure she likes me or just thinks I'm funny.)
I'll make her a Greek Cranberry cake.
Its really good.
When I find the recipe I put it on here. Its in my recipe box the one that has been handed down from generation to generation.
Regarding the olive oil vs. Pam cooking spray discussion earlier, you can always pour some olive oil into a spray bottle and mist the surface of the pan with olive oil. The quantity will still fall into the low-fat category and you'll get all the nutritional benefits and good taste of olive oil. That Pam stuff tastes awful.
You'll find spray bottles at just about any grocery store or hardware store. Just be sure to put a label on the bottle so everyone knows what is in it.
