I thought it was odd we were in agreement.

It should just go to show you how objective I am. If the argument is good, it's hard not to agree with it.

I agree.

It's just that most of the good arguments are over here on the right side.

And if your IQ ever approached 145, that was obviously many moons -- and bottles of gin -- ago.

I don't drink gin.... never have... and my IQ was once tested considerably higher than that.... today I don't claim it would and I also don't claim that IQ has any bearing on ones success in navigating life.

But toss the insult if it makes you feel better. It certainly doesn't hurt me so it's a win for you which I graciously hope gives you pleasure. God knows you could use some if you're from Kansas. Laughing

If only Taylor had a 50 cal machine gun, he would be alive today..

That of course is not guarenteed....but his odds of survival would have been enhanced.

If only Taylor had a tactical nuke, he would be alive today.

Nice trick to only use accidental deaths..

Suicide by firearms - 16,750
homicide by firearms - 11,624
death by discharge of firearm- undetermined intent - 235
accidental death by firearm - 649

It's not an valid comparison to use suicide and homicide in the firearms totals. You're not going to eliminate the total overall number of suicides or homicides by banning guns.

The only thing you can hope to limit is accidental deaths which is why those are the numbers I gathered.

That's right.. guns don't kill people except by accident. Rolling Eyes

A pistol or a shotgun would have sufficed; the machete clearly didn't. That was fifth century versus twentieth century technology...

Same thing is basically true of those kids killed at VT. VT went WAY out of their way to get their campus declared some sort of an exception to the general shall-issue law in Virginia and they paid the price for it. If I'm the coroner filling out death reports for those kids I'd fill in the "Cause of Death" section as "Demokkkrat Ideology". In the real world, these stupid ideas kill people.

Why didn't he have a dog? With a barking dog, he would have been downstairs before anyone broke into the house. As burglars, they would have left.
