I wonder how Rosie is doing these days ... haven't heard lately!

Yes, sorry about that - I've been having loads of computer problems Crying or Very sad viruses and internet playing up and not sending/receiving emails properly ...... and so on and so on and so on ...

Rosie is getting to be a big grown up girl now. I came home from work exhausted at 1pm and had a lovely long snuggle up with her until 3.30. I feel a bit more human now Very Happy She's very loving (when she feels like it!)

She is finally eating more.

She's still as playful but can't climb the curtains now she's bigger - thank heavens. She loves hide and seek and ambushes our ankles - luckily no teeth or claws - just runs along after us patting our ankles to show us how silly we are and how she can sneak up behind us Smile

She is very spoilt Embarrassed . The biting is better, hopefully she has got the message that it isn't welcomed Evil or Very Mad

I hope the little ginger cat has a home by now msolga. You don't seem to see kittens and puppies in petshops here anymore like you used to. They just have birds, gerbils, fish etc. I don't like to see them in the cages it looks so sad.

We've never actually chosen our cats - like Rosie they arrived!

Viv., glad to hear all is well with Rosie, that she's learning her manners as far as the curtains go, and she's still playing tricks.

Taking a nap with you for 2 hours was a lovely visual:) They are just too cute!

Yes, me too, Vivien. Poor Ginger had been there FAR too long. I sincerely hope s/he has left, to a happy home, next time I look. (I'm getting phobic about looking.)

I haven't really chosen a cat in years, either, Vivien. (Apart from ones from the Cat Shelter) .... They just seem to appear, need rescuing, or else have to be stolen to survive, like Flatty.

Rosie sounds a delight at the moment. Very Happy The last time (years ago) I actually had a kitten that went for the ankles, she used her claws! Shocked She thought that was EXTREMELY clever! I didn't! Evil or Very Mad

Go for it, Olga.

One of my loveliest cats came that way! I walked past a pet shop, and there was a single, tiny, ginger kitten, in a whole box of grey tabbies. I walked past several times, but she surely didn't belong there.

I had been shopping, and this was before I owned a car - and had two armfuls already, including, I recall, a huge door mat! But I had to take her home! So, they put her in a box, I tucked her somewhere under an arm, and struggled to the bus stop.

As soon as we got on the bus, she started to scream - and screamed the whole trip home - good on a crowded bus on a Saturday morning.

When I got her home, she stopped screaming, but my existing (only) cat then got the huff, and started to holler. She got frightened and wet herself, and then she cried. I think I cried too at this point.

She was absolutely riddled with fleas, and ringworm, which she gave to me, but turned out to be one of the great cats, a boss-cat, and a one-person cat.

I was shattered when she died after a snake bit her. She hung on for a few days, but she was about 14, and her heart gave out. Sad Crying or Very sad

lovely image of you on the bus Margo, with all that baggage and a howling cat! gosh snake bites is one hazard we don't have to consider when Rosie goes out, it must have been heartbreaking.

I don't know about Rosie learning any manners! she is getting very bossy

I know she is settling for a long sleep if, when she snuggles up with me she does her yoga. she breathes a deep yogic breath out and goes limp, eyes shut

talking. laughing, changing position all gets a few cross flicks of the tail and are not permitted - she expects to be held comfortably at all times, whatever peculiar position she chooses to stretch into, no reading allowed. At one time last night she was flat on her back, paws up over her head and back legs stretched - she was about a yard long! If i have to put her down before she is ready, the little monster gives me a quick nip to show her displeasure! (no Mikey blood and bruises.not that hard or she'd get a tap)

She's busy playing now and won't let anyone near her to pick her up.

She managed to get hold of one of the nets of peanuts that i hang up for the birds that is nearly empty. I suppose it smells interestingly of birds, She tosses it about and pounces on it and keeps bringing it into the house - looking just like a cheetah coming home with its kill!

I'm sure he's posing in some of them! Rosie seems to for a while til she gets fed up.

My previous cats hated the camera with a vengeance and you had to make sure they were occupied or unaware - if they saw the camera pointing at them they scooted! (and whether you used flash or not they were the same)

Yes, again, Vivien

He's a right little poser! In the avatar pic, he's actually sitting on my stretched out legs, looking at me as I fiddled with the camera, waiting. Those things that look like horns from the back of his head are actually my feet, judiciously cropped Confused

I love your shots of Rosie - she's colouring up beautifully.

me too! I always said I'd like 2 - if only little Paddy had made it.

She's gone lighter again as she sheds her winter coat - our long haired tortie, Casey, was like that - her longest hairs were black and she only had them for the winter - Rosie has done the same thing and is distinctly lighter in colour. The cooler outside light also affects the way her colours show up.

Definitely cool light today! Spring it may be but it's chilly yet.

don't believe it - she's been busy hunting flies in the Spring sunshine and .....yeugh .... brought a big bluebottle in half dead and when it stopped being fun anymore - ate it!
