@djjd62,
Well, yes, and no. About 5cm, but there's a promise of rain tonight, with higher temps for the next few days.

Having Christmas today, with the whole family! Looking forward to my wife's usually lovely dinner.

Bye for now, all.

My wife is doing much better than anyone expected. She hasn't had a pain pill in two or three days. The only problem she has is not being able to do for herself and drive the car.

Yes! And no power outages! Yah! Things went off so much better on that day, thanks for asking.

Edgar, new pic, I see. Glad to hear of your wife's continued recovery. The hard part will be holding her back from doing stuff she shouldn't be doing! My wife is the same way. I always have to make sure to carry heavier items, especially up and down our stairs.

Took the wife to see the doc today. He confirmed her excellent progress. She will probably try driving in just a bit over a week.

@Izzie,
My wife started driving again the other day. Says she doesn't need therapy classes. I have to agree. She can do what needs to be done with my help at home. Aside from that, all is calm and uneventful these days. Hope all is well with reyn. Haven't noted his presence lately.

Glad to read that your wife is well enough to drive. Very good!

Letty emailed me to let me know you were asking about me on the Missing thread. I've not posted for some time now. Just coming here once or twice a day to have a quick read. I'm trying to keep up with what's happening.

All the best and thanks for asking......

@edgarblythe,
Went to see my doc today in regards to the pain in my right side. He says I have (at least) a partial separation of cartilage from the rib. Something called 'costochondral separation'. It doesn't hurt horribly, but enough to let me know that something's not right. It will take quite some weeks to fully heal.

Let me tell you, it'll be the last time I do as much snow shovelling as I did a couple of weeks ago.

@Reyn,
I can relate. The older you get the more you have to ease into physical exertion. You're lucky if you don't need surgery. A few months back, I helped clear some tree limbs and brush. Jumped into it the way I always jumped into a job. Pull, strain, chop, get that stuff out of there. The next few weeks after, my shoulders were sore in just the same places where my wife had her surgery. I hate to admit it hurts to do those jobs, but facts is facts.

Sign above the door says "Anything Thread"

Why the builder put the soap shelf directly across from the shower head, I'll never know. Talk about clean pipes.
