@Rockhead,
Maybe Alcatraz should be revived? Or, would that be considered a luxury hotel for these fine lads?

Hello Edgar, just checking in to see how's things in your area with the hurricanes, and all that. I have heard elsewhere that you were okay, but wanted to hear from you, re this stuff.

In other news, I have today issued a global disclaimer for any future human interest-like stories that I may "create", so some may not be hopelessly confused. Wink Laughing

My cold seems to be nearly gone. I'm so relieved to be feeling better. Makes it easier to cope with life's little ups and downs.

How's the hand healing?

@Reyn,
Mr Reyn, I spoke to Ed briefly over the weekend, and he may be a week or more before coming back to A2K.

He is good, as good can be...

I'll report if I got more.

Nite all

Oh dear! Has he been affected by a hurricane? Or something else?

Thanks, Rock.

@Reyn,
Yes, He stayed in Houston to help the folks at the apartments where he works to weather the storm.

He's fine, but there will be no power there for a while yet.

We spoke briefly on the phone after the storm.

Hi Edgar. Just bumping up the thread to let you know I checked in.

Doesn't it suck big time to be without power, eh? I hope the heat isn't too bad.

Hi, and yes! My wife is still a bit sniffy. After I had mentioned about my cold here, I turned around quite quickly after that - about a day and a bit.

I'm anxious to hear again from Edgar. I miss the old codger.

@Izzie,
Good morrow, y'all folks. I am on a borrowed computer this morning. The front third of my neighborhood had power restored last night. I am in fond anticipation it will happen for me today. The damned water company put a generator on the pump yesterday afternoon. Why didn't they try that a week ago, when I was hauling water to flush the pot? My next door neighbor wants me to cut down the biggest, healthiest looking tree on my property (for $1500), because "if it falls, it will destroy my home." I pointed out that a dozen of the trees standing around could flatten that house, nine of which is owned by her. I don't got no stinking $1500 dollars, and if I did I would spend it all on lottery tickets and Lone Star beer. Shee.

Hi Edgar. I've only got a couple of minutes, so a hurried 'hello' to you and hope to talk in depth more these coming days.

@edgarblythe,
Hey Edgar...

How are you doing? Are things getting back up and running in your part of the world? How's the hand now - all healed? And hows the bumblebee chewing neighbour.... still spitting stings?

Hugs to you and hope all is gradually returning to normal.

x
