That argument (give it to the war machine) is stupid, yet typical of the liberal socialist mindset.

How about giving "it" back to the taxpayer?

When you loonies have no argument for a particuliar point of view, you throw out such stupid remarks that make you look more silly to the objective observer than you are.

You see Conservatives giving 'it' back to the taxpayer any time recently?

The foreign adventures for our military are the equivalent of massive tax increases, you know.

No stupider than claiming Hillary is proposing to give $5000 to everyone that has a baby.

Parados: Wait.... she said that! De facto, live and in living color. Read earlier posts for references. Subsequent posts have devolved into name calling, etc. But, the fact remains that she did propose just that.

Wait, I've got a better idea! How about giving ME $5,000 for having survived in this madhouse country long enough to retire. Razz

Since I'm not a "conservative" I can be objective in saying that they too have not reduced my taxes to any large degree recently. Nor have they increased them.

Why you tring to change the subject? Unable to support this new socialist plan by "Hitlery"? How come you are not embracing it to a point that you think it should be retroactive to any child born in the past 7 years? Lord knows "bushie" has really screwed them and the "village" must correct this terrible error.

I don't think anyone is supporting 'the plan'......because there isn't a plan, she made a comment. Before support could be provided many more details are required and needed (such as 'How do we pay for it").

What most of these posts have moved on to is discussing the priorities that we have as a nation (education vs occupation for example) with a few side bars.

Did anyone ask WHY the taxpayers should give 5K to anyone who has a child?

Who suggested that everyone that has a child gets $5000?

Why don't you try asking questions about the proposed program?

Might have something to do with this...

Quote:
"I like the idea of giving every baby born in America a $5,000 account that will grow over time, so when that young person turns 18, if they have finished high school, they will be able to access it to go to college," Clinton said.

I don't think it's an entirely terrible idea, but it needs a little work other then just an offhand comment.

There's a difference between a policy platform proposal, and talking about an idea. Wouldn't you agree?

There is a difference between creating an account for a child and giving the parents money.

If there is no difference then Bush proposed giving money to the parents of every minor child that pays SS when he proposed private SS accounts.

Not when you stand before a politiclly sponsered event by the Black Caucus.
If the comment was made to the media, I might agree, but not in this forum.
