I don't know if any of you have been following this story in the news or not.
Nailah was last heard from on the evening of Tuesday Sept 18th.
Her car was found in Hammond, IN late Saturday, Sept 22nd.

A body was found this morning, Sept 25th in park less than 2 blocks from where her car had been found.

The news organizations are still awaiting confirmation that this is her.
I wonder why it took 3 days to search the park that is 2 blocks away from where the car was found? (One of those blocks between the car's location and the park is a cemetery - that should have been an easy search.)

An autopsy performed Friday by the Cook County medical examiner's office did not reveal a cause of death. Chicago police, who have not ruled the case a homicide, remain the lead investigators because authorities don't know where she died.
Her body, badly decomposed after being exposed to rain and heat, had to be identified through dental records Friday morning. But a law enforcement source said she was not shot or stabbed.
Police said they are pursuing leads in Franklin's death. They are testing forensic evidence from her body and vehicle and reviewing surveillance video taken from across the street where Franklin's body was found.
Police last week interviewed several of Franklin's acquaintances and friends, including a man she briefly dated this year who allegedly threatened her. She reported those threats to police a week before she disappeared. The man brought an attorney to the interview, a law enforcement source said.
Police have not named him a suspect in the death or disappearance. The man has two orders of protection against him filed by two other women, one granted the same day Franklin disappeared, court records show.

I saw some initial report on a body being found, but nothing since..
I didn't realize this story was getting national coverage. It's been a big story here because it's local and there have been appeals for folks to join search teams. The police haven't officially classified the ex-boyfriend but I think he's probably the main focus of the investigation.
