Are we really a backwater?

@hingehead,
Hotel California, dorf dorfing? Laughing

No, Cairns could never be a backwater. It's too beautiful by far & attracts far too many good people because of that. And of course, there are other attractions, too! You know what I mean. Wink

Nope, the dorf dorfer was in a sad time warp, hinge. He should have kept his musical preferences to himself - via his head phones! Would have saved him a heap of embarrassment, too!

Another handy hint if you are thinking of moving to Cairns:

don't choose the birds twittering noise for your cell phone.

Mrs Hinge did and half the time she doesn't answer her phone because it blends in with the birds you hear all the time and the other half of the time she's answering her phone when no-one's called because she's heard the real birds you hear all the time.

Cooooooooooooooeeeeeeee!

Hinge?

Hello, hello?

Anyone home in Cairns, Qld?

Have you disappeared for good, or just taking some time off A2K?

I miss seeing you around! Smile

I was just thinking to myself yesterday ... I wonder what's happening in Cairns these day?

Anyone in the know? Wink

@hingehead,
Uhuh, I see. That might not be a bad thing! Smile

(You are sounding very laid back, even from this distance away I can tell. Wink )

But life is still pretty good to you up there? You & Mrs Hinge are still happy to have made the big move from Canberra?

And I presume that by now you have a gigantic menagerie of critters, of all varieties?

Don't feel under any pressure to respond in a hurry. I'm guessing you are posting from work?

@msolga,
Yeah Olgs, @ work. I got tired of A2K last year, due largely to granite for brains omsigdavid - and thought it best I just walk away (as wishing someone would just die is bad for your karma). Still the same four fur kids. We're off to Europe again for two months soon. I miss bits of Canberra, but not sorry I came here at all.

@hingehead,
Have you come across the new "ignore" function yet, hinge? Wink

It could completely change your online experience!

You can make people vanish! Smile

@msolga,
Not really - I was still here regularly when they introduced it, I was just loathe to use it. Free speech, broad spectrum of opinion and all that. Realise now that life is too short.

@hingehead,
Good to see ya hinge.

The aforementioned seems to have changed it's ways considerably of late. No new foundations of course, but certainly a new style of behaviour. Still, that's what "ignore" is for I guess.

@Eorl,
Hi Eorl - missed you too. It used to distress me that he was a former trial lawyer (according to his profile) but couldn't seem to grasp the simplest abstract concept. That his behaviour is changing makes me think he was wilful rather than pathological.

I think I'll just hang in the nice neighbourhoods from now on.
