I lost 25 pounds. I went to the hospital with safety pins holding up my pants.
I was in complete isolation for each of my hospital stays. C-diff is contagious. Not airborne. It's by touch. This is why I have two new pens. In each case a doctor handed me a pen for something. I tried to return each one, but both declined because I (typhoid Mary) had touched it.
Glad to see your message and that you’re on the mend and heading in a good direction. Amazing doctors and that pharma company responded appropriately and approved making the Med available to you. So glad they intervened.

@Roberta,
Pens are good.
How is the fight against the bug going at this point?
No, I didn't have it in the hospital. I have it now. Took a pill a few minutes ago.

Is the $$$$ med more antibiotics, or are they dealing with post-infection complications? Nasty bug!! It's prevalent in nursing homes. We think my daughter, M, was exposed to it after Mr B's grandmother came for a visit and shared M's bathroom. She'd been in a nursing home previously. Healthy people can carry it for years. M was prescribed Cipro for another issue and the Cipro killed off everything except the C Diff. Then she was dealing with the C Diff for weeks. She still has gut issues from it. Wishing you a complete recovery with no long-lasting issues.
