@Roberta,
Oh Roberta, I'm so sorry. You really do have rotten luck with your health, don't you. What a shame you had to miss your hospital appointment - will you be able to make another one in the near future? Hope your stomach upset doesn't last for long. Any idea what caused it?

As for work - you can't win! Work = eyestrain and exhaustion, no work = unpaid bills and exhausion (from worry!). Wish there was an easy solution.

@margo,
deb, No pain. No nausea. Just running. This has been going on for a while. Too long.

vonny, Both appointments are rescheduled. The stomach upset must be caused by some kinda internal issue. Not something I ate.

osso and margo, Thanks for the fehs and the phooey. A goil can always use a little sympathy.

@Roberta,
Boida- I got into drinking Blue Diamond Almond Milk. It is made (naturally) from almonds, and does not have a bit of dairy in it. It is really quite good, and the unsweetened version his only 30 calories a cupful. Regular milk makes me "rocket propelled", and I don't really care for Lactaid.

@dlowan,
You're a good kid, bunny. Or you're a good bunny, kid. Take your pick.

Figured out why I was having so much trouble with my arm. The pain went away on its own. I'm working again, and the pain is coming back. Wanna know why? My dictionary is on a small stool under the table next to my computer. I probably refer to the dictionary ten times a day, give or take, more or less, when I'm working. Awkward angle. Makes my arm sore when I lift it. I moved the dictionary.

Would soy milk bring on the same allergy?

@tsarstepan,

soy milk tastes yucky like soy.

almond milk tastes good...almost like milk.

@Rockhead,
I like the vanilla soy. I get it once in awhile when it's on a deep sale at the grocery store.

HEY!

Nobody with any authority has said anything to me about milk. And I already told you what I would say and do if Moses himself came down from the mountain top and told me to stop drinking milk--a message from the top Guy.

I have no intention of drinking milk made out of nuts or soy. No udders. (Hey, I wasn't born yesterday.)

If push comes to shove, I'll drink lactaid. But there's gonna have to be a lot of pushing and shoving.

I appreciate your concern. All of you. Really I do. You are a bunch of good kids. And I am a gigantic pain in the ass. And no one has told me anything--yet.

soz and edgar, X-rays because I'm lifting a dictionary. I love simple fixes too.

Just in case you were wondering how I got to Moses. My thought process (I said I did a lot of reflecting):

1. What if my doctor told me?
2. What if my doctor's boss told me?
3. What if the head of the hospital told me?
4. What if the surgeon general of the United States of America told me?
5. Moses.

So I guess you can't be persuaded to drink some lovely, delightful, absolutely super, almond milk? Laughing Laughing Laughing
