@sozobe,
(apols... had to zzzz)
Just spoke with our BOID!
Ah, bless her... the asthma is not so good right now and they are giving her lots of meds other than the steroids. Gosh, she sounded so much louder than the last time I spoke to her, but in real terms, still very quiet tho. She's very breathless and tired. I asked if she was in a room by herself and she, in Boida style, said "I should be so lucky"...
The noise is getting to her as it was like last time - lots of other people to-ing and fro-ing and noise all around. She says they are taking care of her and they're nice folk, it's just "the noise"; she's not been able to sleep but they're giving her something to try and help with that now too.
She also said to say hello to everyone and really, how much it means to her that folk are thinking of her. She's happy for anyone to phone but if she doesn't answer then she'll either not be able to at that time or not up to talking to folk. But yes, folk can call if they wish to. (212 562 8845)
She doesn't know how long she'll be there and there's no plan for discharge at the moment. It's tiring being sick and I'm feeling she's really fed up with the whole palava. Yep.
Can't tell you the relief it is when you can hear a voice on the end of the phone... it was sooooo good to hear her. It's good to know that she's in safe hands there. Phew again.
Putting the hoper up high for a speedy recovery... and breathe.
