Miss Roberta, best wishes are being sent to you via moi from Brenda and Eugenie.

They've got plans, so stay distracted.

Love.

earworm alert!

They're creepy and they're kooky,
Mysterious and spooky,
They're all together ooky,
The Addams Family.

Their house is a museum
Where people come to see 'em
They really are a scream
The Addams Family.

(Neat)
(Sweet)
(Petite)

So get a witches shawl on
A broomstick you can crawl on
We're gonna pay a call on
The Addams Family.

Altogether ooky--one of my favorites lyrics.

Fact is, I'm altogether ooky. Having panic attacks, which I think of as dread attacks. A horrible feeling followed by the dry heaves. Yes, wretched retching. I'm not having fun.

The yucky editing job is a distraction. No heaving. And I'm also proofreading something that is semi-okay. Good to be earning some money.

How was that for a good kvetch? Not up to par, I think. I need to work on this.

Sighing big time.

Panic attacks are dreadful - I get them at times when I wonder about the future or my eldest son... just outta nowhere - sometimes in the middle of the night...

Maybe have a read of this Bertie and see what ya think... it may help if you can find the
Relaxation Response
... (so much easier said than done, tho hun!)

Keep yer distraction going - glad the proof read has improved a little (stick with positive work, put the negative to the side for just a few days girl...)

sending you a hug and hoping the day will go quickly for you

It is a dreadful situation to be in. I am pulling for you to get through it all and carry on with your life. Keeping distracted, through work and otherwise staying busy, is just how I would cope with the waiting also.

Are you able to get outside and get some fresh air today, Roberta?

Keeping you in my thoughts.

I was a bit less shaky on Sunday. Managed to eat something approaching food. Managed to sleep for more than a few hours. Went for a short walk. I can't walk far under the best of circumstances, but I went a little way.

I'd hate for you to think that I've lost my kvetch credentials. I'm editing a book that should NOT BE PUBLISHED. Shame on the publisher. Shame on the editor who signed the dud. Shame on the author. Fie and feh on them all. Not only is the subject matter from hunger, but the author is sloppy, careless, and semiliterate, at best. Hey, moron! The word "people" is plural. Oy.

I'm also proofreading something that is well written but poorly edited.

Still noivous.
