Thanks all.

I'm aware that meningiomas can be a no-big-deal kind of thing. The one I have has attached itself to my brain and is drawing on the blood supply to the brain. I believe that this is why there is such concern.

As I said, I'll know more after I have the MRI and get a chance to ask a bunch of questions.

alex, Thanks for the kind words.

osso, I'll take my Oreos virtual or actual. A goil's gotta have her sweets.

olga and jes, No appointment yet. I think something went wrong. I'll call the doc on Monday and let him know.

Izzie, Love the teapot, kid. Gorgeous. As for the Pepsi, love that too. Thanks for remembering my liquid refreshment of choice.

Saw my therapist today. She helped calm me a bit. Saw a lawyer too (compliments of Bellevue). Got some good info about a special kind of Medicaid that might actually apply to me.

Now I'm gonna try to do some work on my latest nightmare editing job.

Nothing even remotely amusing about this one. This book has a footnote, endnote, references problem. BIG TIME. Not only are the notes in the wrong place and in the wrong order, but not one of them is set up correctly or contains complete information. The actual written part of the book isn't terrible. I'm currently drowning a chapter that has footnotes in the text and footnotes in tables. They're all smooshed together--in alphabetic (not numeric) order.

@Roberta,
Saying good morning to you, Roberta. (A wild & windy morning it is, too! Crikey.)

Good, good! Smile I mistakenly thought your allowable time with the therapist had "expired". I'm so glad she's still available to you, Roberta! I had the terrible idea that you might be juggling the latest medical advice on your own.

And the possibility of Medicaid, too! Oh I hope it does apply!

Good luck! Sounds like you might need it! Wink

Your publisher thinks you're a miracle worker? Obviously they do!

So I imagine, Roberta, after feeling like this while you were at it:

You're now probably feeling like this!:

Sleep well! You've earned it. Smile

@Thomas,
Oh I know. I studied art history, Thomas. But for the purposes of this discussion, he's a worn-out editor .... Wink

Actually freezing, cold wild & woolly morning, it is, Thomas!

And I love image of Marat! Working tirelessly, till the end, for the good of the people! Very Happy

@Thomas,
...& that quill in his hand sort of reminded me of Roberta at her computer! Wink And the long, frustrating hours she must be putting in. Too bad it's not an interesting, accessible manuscript she's stuck with editing! Sad

... and fixing the footnotes of! If Marat had had to do that, he would have begged for that dagger!

Oh absolutely, Thomas! Wink

Sometimes I think Roberta should get full credit for actually writing some of the horror manuscripts she edits!

There were some editor reassignments going on. No one actually looked carefully at anything. Just a "standard job." So I may occasionally be assigned the difficult jobs, but this wasn't supposed to be one of them.

As for Marat in the tub. Definitely looks pooped. But, let's face it, dead is dead. A masterful work. But I prefer The Scream. Saw that one in the flesh in Norway. It reflects more of what I feel about this job.
