Woman kicked off Southwest Airlines flight for mini-skirt
Kyla Ebbert, 23, was about to board a plane to Tucson from San Diego when a Southwest airlines customer representative approached her.
He told her that she would have to change her outfit before boarding.
Ebbert, a Hooters waitress was wearing a mini-skirt and a tank-top covered up by a summer sweater.
She explained to the representative that she had no clothes to change into, that she was heading to Arizona for a doctors appointment.
Still, they insisted that her outfit was inappropriate.
What was inappropriate, she asked. All of it, he replied.
Ebbert put up a fight and refused to change her travel plans.
When her mother got wind of how her daughter was treated, she was furious. She claims she was humiliated as flight attendants passed by a the same time agents told her how inappropriate her dressing actually was.
Michele Ebbert, the girl's mother, wrote a complaint to Southwest.
Southwest Airlines fired off a letter to her mother, saying the airline reserves the right to kick anyone off if they are wearing an outfit deemed "lewd or offensive."
But in the minds of Arizonans we talked to, the outfit was anything but lewd.
"I think it is tasteful," one person commented. Another said, "It is what I see everyday on the ASU campus."
Another person added, "I didn't realize the airlines had a dress code police."
And they don't.
According to Southwest, they try to do whatever they can to please their customers and if there is an incident, they try to approach the person in question with privacy and dignity.
But to Kyla Ebbert, it was anything but that. She wants an apology and now the junior college student is getting national attention.

So what do you think? I am completely on the side of any hot babe who wants to wear erection-inspiring clothes. Especially on a plane! Flying is a bore! Bring on the travelling mini-skirted, tube-topped sluts! In fact, I think all flight attendants should be Hooters girls, and the skimpier the clothing, the better! Tramp stamps welcome!
Shame on Southwestern for being such prissy little bitches.
I saw the woman on television. She was wearing the same outfit. Not so many years ago, airline stewardesses dressed very much like her. What kind of people are we turning into, that we have these knee-jerk reactions to the most trivial matters?
I blame Janet Jackson's left tit.

I'd like to see your evidence.
Hehehe...I bet you would.
But what what I don't get is...
She's gonna be in a seat on an airplane.
Who's gonna see anything anyway?
I saw a picture of the lady. Not a bit inappropriate.
Nice avatar, George.
This sounds stupid.
Can someone post a picture?
She's busty, that's for certain but she doesn't look fleshy or obscene. It doesn't make sense. I don't believe this story. It's PR for someone or something that's being hyped, spun or created for some reason. God only knows.
i'll offer her a ride on reverse cowgirl airlines ....
This all seems rather odd.
I keep thinking she must not have been wearing underwear or something, like those tramps, Britney and Paris. Could that be it?
Now there's an idea.
We'll probably here more about this. Maybe a scrupulous airline person.
Actually kicky, that's as good an explanation as any.
I actually have that fantasy all the time on the subway, eoe. Can't help it. When I see a sort of trampy-looking girl in a mini-skirt, my mind gets to wanderin'...
but seriously, I bet that's what it is. Either that or some old bitty with a stick up her ass made a big fuss and forced their (the flight attendants') hand, and they went along with it without anything resembling a logical thought pattern, just like the sheep that most people are.
