never said that anyone did...you really have to read BEFORE you comment. My words were "odd that you people think he spoke in anything other that Aramaic"...where do you get that anyone said he spoke Greek, either exclusively or as a secondary language?

All the more reason not to trust anything that came from the Septaguint. Changing things that were Law in the bible became a past-time of the early catholic church (Council of Nicea,Sabbath moved to Sunday,etc.)

no, but Jesus supposedly is. Names can't be translated or they lose their intimacy, which is what a relationship with the creator is meant to be. And let's not forget how important a name is. On Mt Siani, YHVH said to Moses "let them come to me in MY NAME, and they shall be my people".
