So it is upon us, Only a week away. New Zealand are the favourites again, but then they have been for the past god-only-knows-how-many RWC's. I think South Africa can win it! If the Aussies can do us a favour with NZ Sad . What a sad loss Pierre Spies was to our squad, anyways.

Wallabies sure aren't aiming to do those All-Blacks any favours, nor the bloody Springboks, either.

We was cheated last time - the anguish of that field goal after double extra time - and they're playing that bit over and over again on TV as an promo. Bloody Jonny Wilkinson!

The slogan - Revenge is a dish best served cold.

Look out - we're coming again!

Puh! I think the Aussies can make it to the finals, but they'll likely be knocked out in the semis by us!
I can't believe no one is watching this! The first game was a cracker! Argentina 17 - France 12! OMG, what an upset! Not a pleasing game to watch, it had its moments, but the Argentinians played beautifully in the 1st half. Ref was crap though.

Will be watching, with interest.

Ireland drawn with France and Argentina. Top of that group plays (more than likely) Scotland in the last 8 and probable advancement to the semis. Second plays the All Blacks! Last night's result is a major set-back for France, but not catastrophic as, in my opinion, the top three are all capable of beating each other.

Of course, no one here expects anything other than a New Zealand victory.

Wallabies V Japan tonight.

cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No Georgie Gregan and no Phil Waugh. both sets of shoes will take some filling.

New boy Berrick Barnes, the youngest player in the squad, will come on in the second half and should impress.

The wallabies are a little rusty after not playing for so long and against Japan will take some time to establish their game. A 50 point win is feasible but will take some work.

Well done argentina

Realistically there are only three teams who can win the world cup, Aust. NZ. and Tonga

George Gregan played. Pretty boring game, though! 90-3 indicates that it was a tad lopsided! I went to sleep somewhere in the middle. Berrick Barnes scored a couple of tries. Not bad for the new boy!

I understand the Italians refused to watch the All-Blacks haka, and pissed off the All-Blacks greatly. So - down goes Italy in a heap! Twisted Evil

They won't do that again in a hurry!

And Jonny Wilkinson is injured again! Bastard!

The Argentina-France game was good though - I managed to stay awake through that, and then moved on to the tennis. Big sports weekend.

We're not getting any news unless Aust is in the game so please keep me updated.

Margo I was under the impression Gregan had retired. But obviously not.

What kind of a union team has the nickname "The cherry blossoms. I'm sooo embarrassed for them.

I think the irish will win Steve. I reckon you've done your money my son.
Is the bet on the Ireland France game or Who end up higher in pool D?

Which team will progress furthest. Void bet if both get knocked out at the same stage.

Well, they have a chance - they've won one already!

We think it's our turn.

In turn, it's been - New Zealand; Australia, South Africa; Australia; England (bloody close that one!);........................
see the pattern emerging!

I dont know whether to Laughing or Crying or Very sad
So you think Australia is due another world cup hey? Looking at it another way, New Zealand were probably favourites entering all those world cups but never won, so maybe they're due a victory.
I think South Africa or New Zealand deserve to win. For the rugby they play, they haven't won enough world cups!
Anyway, how will you Aussies defeat NZ if you meet them in the semis?

Australia had a good campaign in the tri nations beating the All Blacks in Melbourne 20-15 and retaining the Mandela Plate over South Africa with a 25-17 win over the Springboks in Sydney.
