how about "smoked eel" ? i've eaten plenty of it - same goes for "jellied eel" . hard to get in canada - some dutch deli shops import it on occasion - but it should really be fresh from the smokehouse - SALIVATING .

I had eel once in Copenhagen. It was pretty good! And, no, it doesn't taste like chicken!

how about some smoked carp ?
it's quite tasty . also good steamed and served with drawn butter and fresh creamed horse-radish - it's a typical new-year's eve meal in northern germany .

If I could get some smoked eel right now, I'd be mighty happy.
