gunga, in your mind, who do you see as the controller?
Better question: Why does ANYBODY need to be in any sort of a school when they're four or five years old. When I was a kid, nobody was.
because there's no one home to take care of them.
Quote:Single Parents
* Single parents account for 27 percent of family households with children under 18. 1
* More than two million fathers are the primary caregivers of children under 18,
a 62 percent increase since 1990. 2
* One in two children will live in a single-parent family at some point in childhood. 3
* One in three children is born to unmarried parents. 3
* Between 1978 and 1996, the number of babies born to unmarried women per year quadrupled from 500,000 to more than two million. 4
* The number of single mothers increased from three million to 10 million between
1970 and 2000.
That's wonderful that somebody is thinking about all of those with a real need along such lines, but that's pretty far from what the NEA is talking about. The NEA is talking about taking over the care and indoctrination of ALL American children above the age of four or five.
Me, I wouldn't trust those suckers with the care of a dog or a cat, much less a kid.
The indoctrination? Parents are the ones asking for this service.
Not ALL parents or even any sort of a majority of them, and the NEA is expressing a desire to take over control of ALL of the nation's children at a very young age.
Nothing good can come of that. Classical examples of total youth indoctrination include the Hitler Youth, the Soviet Pioneer system, and the system we see emerging in Gaza.
On that off-key note, I think I'm done here.
