Last weekend the girl asked me to hang her CD storage cases on the wall at her place when I got down here today. No real direction from her - she just told me which wall she wanted them on.

So I'm here and the cases have been hung (on the wall where she wanted them).

With that, I have a few questions:

1.) How long after she comes home should I expect the start of comments about how I didn't hang them properly?

2.) Am I better off not being here when she gets home to give her time to adjust to them? Or should I just hang around, get b*tched at and get it over with early?

3.) How long before she demands that they be taken down and re-hung?

4.) If I go and buy flowers now will it save me?

I have ~2 hours before her arrival. Save me! Razz

And then you get all these women acting like they are different.

Yea right!!! Go tell it to the mountain. It's just part of the job.

Women like to poke men with a little stick and they are not happy till they see a reaction.

Last month I was at my moms and she was all pissy running around the house cleanig yelling about how dirty it was. Me and my stepdad were just being couch patatos watching T.V. and having a good time.

Could my mom join us?????? oh Nooooooooooo! The house had to be cleaned right then and nobody was going to have any peace intill it was done.

So pretty soon me and my stepdad are running all over the house washing windows picking weeds keeping our eyes peeled for the Warden.

And then we said "Where is she?"

She was in her room, laying in her bed reading one of those trashy gossip mags just as happy as could be

Oh we were pissed! RED HANDED we cought her.

She put her fingers to her mouth like she was an inocent littke girl.

We dropped everything where it lay and went to the pub to watch the game and be with the men and when we got back she said;

"I don't know what you guy see in that damn pub."

We just laghed and then she did too and we watched a movie.

Hehehe...it's funny cuz it's true.

Forget the flowers, forget about whether you should be there when she gets there, forget all that. You WILL be bitched at. Accept it.

Here's a tip though. Picture her naked while she's bitching at you. That should make it easier to deal with.

Is this really common? I love it when my husband does things around the house, although I admit he's a perfectionist - so I don't have much to pick on. Really Fishin', I think she just owes you a big kiss or she should hang her own darn stuff.

although, i have to say that when my dad does 'home improvement' that entails anything remotely decorative, we laugh and/or cry afterwards. luckily we love him, so we let it hang for awhile, then suggest ameliorations or replacement... he hung these 'curtain' things on a shoe rack in the front room. out of his initiative, to make our home nicer... ooooh boy. it was funny though. i showed it off to friends as a rarity.
after about a year (we worked on getting those things dirty and torn) we suggested bamboo would be even more practical. that we didn't want to get rid of the idea of the curtains, because it was such a brilliant one, but that we saw these bamboo blinds that pull up by a string and would that work? he took that idea and flew with it. we made him think it was his own idea. and we're all happy now.
