How does one change to Spanish pronunciation and back to English? The tilde, etc. Can it be done easily? In Windows XP? What keys give the different punctuation?
try these:
á alt+160
É alt+144
é alt+130
í alt+161
ó alt+162
ú alt+163
ü alt+129
ñ alt+164
?' alt+165
¿ alt+168
¡ alt+173
You can also change your keyboard format to "United States - International." This allows you to type "'a" to produce "á," ""a" to produce "ä," etc. If you want to type "'" or """ by itself, you have to type a space after it.
To change your keyboard, you have to show the Language Bar. Right-click the taskbar, click "Toolbars," click "Language Bar." Click the little down arrow on the language bar, select settings. Click "Add," check the keyboard layout/MIME box, select "United States - International," click "OK" and "OK" again.
The language bar should now display a little keyboard icon. Click that and select the keyboard format you want to use.
The International keyboard takes a little getting used to, but you don't have to remember all the codes for the characters.
Thank you. I'll try these.
