Congratulations to Cowdoc for winning the regular season. He consistently did well.

Thanks to JPB for doing a fantastic job of running this thing in this our fourth season.

JPB can of course set up the rules for the playoffs any way she wants. As I recall the procedure we used in the past, there are a couple of wild-card games that we pick. And then once that is settled we pick all the way through to the end in one sitting, as in, I have A beating B, C topping D, E over F, and G knocking off H. And then I see A ousting C and E whipping G. And in the Superbowl A triumphs against E. I don't think we gave points for the number of correct games; rather it was who got the champion picked correctly.

Happy New Year to everyone!

So it's setup is sort of like a March Madness type of contest?

And, in the picking through the Superbowl, you have to use a different verb for each game. Note my last post.

I think we'll do parallel games this year. One as described above and another to give everyone a chance to play throughout, we'll continue with a weekly set of picks for each game played.

The first week is the same for both games -- correctly pick the Wild Card winners.

Washington (9-7) at Seattle (10-6)
Jacksonville (11-5) at Pittsburgh (10-6)

NY Giants (10-6) at Tampa Bay (9-7)
Tennessee (10-6) at San Diego (11-5)

Good point -- let's use the total score of the Tenn at SD game.

Tico, RP, and rjb -- please give me a total score for that game.
