Looks like Seattle won this one - unless some miracle happens in the last five minutes of the game.

So, today, whiling around waiting for the games to get rolling, I opened the websites I use to follow the games on my desktop: yahoo sports, espn, sports illustrated. Wandering around yahoo, I found something I hadn't seen before - their expert picks. Checked their consensus with my list, and we were in agreement on 12 of 14. Hah, bet they haven't done so well either.

CowDoc 8 (NY Giants, New England - 32)
jespah 8 (NY Giants, New England - 38)
Pantalones 7 (NY Giants, Cincinnati - 42)
cicerone imposter 7 (Philadelphia, Cincinnati - 35)
JPB 6 (Philadelphia, New England)
jpinMilwaukee6 (Philadelphia, New England)
ossobuco 6 (Philadelphia, New England)
realjohnboy 6 (Philadelphia, New England)

The four players with six wins all have New England picked tomorrow night, as do CowDoc and jespah, so they can pick up one game at most with a Philadelphia win tonight (CowDoc and jes both picked NY). That leaves Pantalones and ci with a chance to catch (Pantalones) or surpass (ci) our leaders.

Yeah, they're in similar trouble...

Can they catch our leaders... (I don't mean to toss you work, jpb, that was just rhetorical - I figure they can't).

Actually, JPB, my tie-breaker is 52. I picked it 31-21, Patriots. Probably a mistake, but that's what I told the Miz.

And the winner is COWDOC who wins with the tiebreaker score of 52 vs jes' 38 and a final total score of 47. This is the second consecutive week that we've needed the tiebreaker. Well done to both of you! CowDoc is also the fourth weekly winner in four weeks. The weekly champion list is now Ragman, lmur, fbaezer, and CowDoc.

Week 4 final rankings, games won and (season to date win rate plus overall standings and last week's overall standing for those playing all four weeks) --

1 CowDoc 10 (0.641 1 5)
2 jespah 10 (0.500 18 21)

And this is where things start getting interesting with the place standings. RP, even though he hasn't scored a top place score has the best average weekly place finish at 4.5 with a deviation of only (2.08). Very consistently near the top, RP. As the weeks go on, this will become more and more an indicator of who will finish up on top overall.

Region Philbis 4.5 (2.08)
Ragman 5.0 (4.83)
cicerone imposter 5.3 (2.63)
CowDoc 5.5 (6.45)
lmur 6.5 (4.93)
realjohnboy 6.5 (5.45)
panzade 6.8 (6.60)
fbaezer 7.0 (8.16)
ossobuco 7.8 (4.27)
ehbeth 8.0 (5.89)
Pantalones 9.8 (8.06)
Cycloptichorn 10.3 (7.57)
George 10.5 (5.80)
LionTamerX 10.5 (5.45)
edgarblythe 10.5 (3.11)
JPB 11.3 (8.10)
wandeljw 11.8 (4.03)
jpinMilwaukee 13.3 (5.91)
jespah 15.0 (8.76)
Ticomaya 16.0 (2.65)
Mrs CowDoc 17.8 (2.63)
