OK, I'm letting Greenie pick for me.

Giants 24 - 23.

I think that's 47, but ....

ci -- fbaezer dibbed 54 with the Giants. And, yes, he's right -- since there's only one game we can have the same tiebreaker as long as it's in a different winning pick. RP gets 54 with New England, fbaezer gets 54 with NY.

I need a different tiebreaker from ci.

just noticed that ci has flown the coop and will probably not check this thread for a bit. I'm going to assume that he picked 54 thinking that fbaezer was taking 55 (which he didn't 'cuz he could have 54) and reserve 55 for ci unless I hear otherwise. Clear as mud?

would I rather party in New York or Boston?
mmmm, New York

so, Giants it is, though it would be most excellent if New England won.

New England & 44. I hope NE loses.

I was in the bank this afternoon. Two guys behind me waiting to cash their payroll checks were talking about organizing a Superbowl party:
Guy #1: Steve and Kathy might want to come.
Guy #2: Kathy might, but not Steve.
Guy #1: I thought Steve loves football.
Guy #2: Yeah, he does. He always sits in his room by himself, watching the Superbowl. He is totally focused on the game.

And did you know that, in 2004, something like 144 million people watched at least part of the game. Later in the same year 123 million voted in the Presidential race. We got our priorities straight.

Good luck to us all!

23! Expecting snow in Phoenix? In a domed stadium? Or did you arrange to have Brady and Manning run over by buses?

It's not snowing, but it's 53 and overcast ... that's pretty chilly for around here.

Brady's gonna get hurt early and the tables will favor a hard fought low scoring game.

BUT WHAT THE HELL DO I KNOW?
Hell, its Mardi Gras time

mmmm, Mardi Gras in Guadalajara... five bands coming into the university (gym?) starting around midnight; I think only one had a tuba guy. I finally learned how to meringue, when you couldn't help but meringue with the dancers so close together.

The reason I regret not having a tv to watch the superbowl is re the commercials. Tell me about the good ones, y'all................

I pm'd him and Pants a few hours ago; Pants picked it up, George hasn't yet.
He said he was for NE on the other thread he started, didn't he? (Hmmm, we could pick a number for him, heh heh.)

By the way, is it out of line, Pants, to congratulate you here re your educational rite of passage?

I think since George is absent, he should get the Giants by alphabetical default.

If he wins with the Giants, I have no doubt he would be just giddy with joy....

Not me, I meant 'not me'. I'd thought of giving George a zero. So, if the game was a defensive bonanza, he'd win...
