All 9/11 conspiracy theories are inherently and massively inferior to the truth of the situation: the LIHOP explanation.

They Let It Happen On Purpose. It's the solution which calls for the smallest amount of work to take place: nothing. Nothing was done. It's a non-conspiracy, b/c you don't conspire to do nothing. You just don't do it.

More on the Purdue "Study". New 9/11 Study Has Direct Links To Government, Pentagon Black Ops
"Independent" study financed by Feds
Steve Watson
Prison Planet
Friday, June 22, 2007

A newly released Purdue University animation showing how fire caused the collapse of the World Trade Center towers on 9/11 claims to be independent but in reality has been federally funded and was conducted by individuals with direct links to the Pentagon and the White House.

Earlier this week we covered the news that the new study roughly correlates with the findings of the 2005 National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) report and supports the official line that the airplanes stripped away crucial fireproofing material and that the weakened towers collapsed under their own weight.

While the New York Times today lauds the study as "a counterpoint to the conspiracy theories promulgated by such outspoken figures as Rosie O'Donnell", Prisonplanet.com has actually done some research into the origins of the study.

In addition to the inerrant flaws and conflicts we pointed out in our previous article, it has now come to light that the so called "independent" structural engineers behind the study are anything but.

The Study was funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), a federal agency created by Congress in 1950 "to promote the progress of science; to advance the national health, prosperity, and welfare; to secure the national defenseĀ…".

As writers at www.truthorlies.org have pointed out, the board of the NSF was appointed by George W. Bush and confirmed by the United States Senate. Its director, Dr. Arden L. Bement Jr, has worked for the Department of defense, where he was under secretary for research and engineering, and DARPA (the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency), which is responsible for the development of new technology for use by the military and famed for its black op projects and offshoot offices.

Last year the Bush Administration doubled the NSF's budget to $6.02 billion.

At the time Arden L. Bement, Jr. stated:

"This is a great day for NSF, and that means it's a great day for the nation, there has been a lot of rhetoric about doubling the NSF budget, but now the Administration is behind it. The FY 2007 Budget Request is the first installment. We are grateful to the Administration for its recognition and leadership,"
It has also been brought to our attention that structural engineer Mete Sozen, the lead investigator in the Purdue study, was also on the American Society of Civil Engineers research team that confirmed the government's story about the OKC bombing in 1995, despite the huge amounts of inconsistencies and conflicting testimony.

Coincidence?

From the ASCE web site

Mete A. Sozen, Ph.D., S.E.
Kettlehut Distinguished Professor of Structural Engineering, Purdue University
Specialty: Behavior of reinforced-concrete structures

Dr. Sozen is currently the Kettlehut Distinguished Professor of Structural Engineering at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind. Prior to joining Purdue in 1994, Dr. Sozen was a professor of civil engineering at the University of Illinois for over 35 years. Dr. Sozen also served on the ASCE team that studied the Murrah Federal Office Building collapse.

So while it claims to be independent the study was in fact funded by the government and carried out by long time government hired hands. The study clearly set out not to attempt to discover anything new but to prove the preconceived official fire theory.

Again this underscores the fact that a truly independent investigation into 9/11 is the only way the mountains of evidence pointing towards a controlled demolition will even be considered.

You mean this devout liberal who was once tied closely into the John Birch Society? Grinding axes may not make you become a prisoner of the Prison Planet, the alternative news:

well, it was a funny article, yes. i laughed a few times genuinely. but all that said, what's the bloody alternative? because travolta is a hypocritical morron, should we all be? everybody can criticize, that's the easiest thing. i get that the author is sick and tired of bumbling fools like al gore or madonna. but what does he propose as a solution? i'll still drag my tote bags to the supermarket, and ride my bike to work. if we all point to somebody else (and there's always somebody to point to), we won't get anywhere.

~end of the totally unrelated rant~

Libertarians have really taken the middle -- hating everyone and anything on the right, left, but wait -- they hate the center also, so it's the "outside middle." It is unfair to have a lot of money and be a celebrity to be heard worldwide, John Travolta with all of his planes (a screwball Scientologist to begin with)., Gore Vidal who made so much money on books, plays, and movies has a pool to bask by? Wow! On a smaller scale, anyone can be heard on this forum and the millions of other forums and blogs, and even put up a website where they can throw every possible polemic and editorial at you in a barrage, trying to look like a respectable National Enquirer. Now we have corrupted scientists and engineers you can't believe because the money for their expensive study came from the NSF. It needs to be funded by, well, by who? NOVA on the ultra-conservative PBS? Start sending in money now! Don't send any to the bastion of neo-conservatives over at Purdue University
Or PBS who has Bill Moyer roasting George Bush and his cronies on a spit.

All truth passes through three stages:
First, it is ridiculed;
Second, it is violently opposed; and
Third, it is accepted as self-evident.

Lightwizard, sure forget the article and attack the messenger who clearly showed the Purdue report was written by those with direct links to the White House, Government, Pentagon Black Ops who were not the experts in the field. This one http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/june2007/200607animation.htm shows there are a number of problems with the Purdue study claims. They do not just attack the messenger. Maybe you could go beyond that yourself and discuss the claims and counter claims rather than just just make Swift Boat style soundbites. At least you agree that new investigations are needed. That is a sensible position.

The Prison Planet so-called expose is a diatribe, the writer's own opinion and not from any scientific based study. It's an interpretation and the rationality is fatally flawed. Can't give it any more credibility than I would a child in a schoolyard yelling, "Nyah, nyah, I gotcha." If proof surfaces that anyone in the Pentagon, the CIA, the White House are all the rest of the presumed perpetrators in this conspiracy theory have influenced either study, I would be convinced. It's too implausible that all the scientists, structural engineers and their assistants are all keeping it a secret. The mysterious whistle-blower (what, only one!) is not being produced because it's a figment of their imagination. Bush has already buried himself in my book -- he doesn't need any help from any hair-brained conspiracy theories.

We didn't go to the moon, Kennedy was shot from the grassy knoll, Roosevelt knew exactly when Pearl Harbor would take place -- it's all far-fetched supposition. Alex Jones and company should be able to scrape up the funds for an independent study to back up their polemics. Of course, if they aren't afraid to approach one of the liberal university science departments for fear they might involve them in a communist plot.

Lightwizard, "We didn't go to the moon"? And how many tens of millions believe that? But tens of millions of rational Americans dont buy the government's 911 theory. You call for new investigations yourself and yet you lump 911 in with man never walked on the moon theories. Prison Planet does a bang up job on 911. I dont agree with them on a lot of things. They certainly are right wing and I sure am left. But I'm glad they're driving the 911 truth movement. I'm glad Charlie and Rosie spoke out. And I'm glad you call for new investigations even as you play some silly game of ping pong while doing it.

Infowars is another prison planet "kook" site. Run by that Alex Jones guy. He's a loudmouth for sure. Forget 911 and look what he says about 7/7. He's one in a quatrillion himself. "Probability of 7/7 Drill and Attack Coinciding"
