@Wilso,
Republicans come up with the craziest legislation in the attempts to enforce their religious beliefs. They don't seem to realize their own ignorance and extremism.

@cicerone imposter,
My hope is that someone will challenge the constitutionality of this law, and that the Supreme Court will strike it down 7-2 with Scalia and Thomas dissenting. That way people will take notice of what religious nutjobs there already are in the Supreme Court and will realize how much worse it could get if we elect another bible-beater to the White House.

This was very sad.

Note that it is talking about a certain approach to religion, not all religion

I confess this would be my approach to God too. (although I actually have a bunch of other gripes too - including why punish my for being what you created)

This atheist makes $100,000-plus each year selling Bibles; he feels guilty, but the money is too good to stop

@edgarblythe,
Websites require maintenance, though. I don't want to actually do any work after the initial bit, most of which I'd pay someone else to do, anyway. If I could make and app and just put it out there, then rake in the cash...

Maybe a faith-o-meter. The believer would speak a prayer or something into their phone, then get a meter reading of how faithful they are at the moment...

@FBM,
I bring subject matter expertise in 3 Abrahamic religions, a few ideas and half the capital.

You bring 49% of the capital, subject matter expertise in Buddhism, some ideas, and find and manage the coders in SK, Malaysia or wherever.

Osso brings 1% of the capital and gets the job of referee in chief. Smile

@Olivier5,
I can't do capital, so never mind that.
I'll bring crabby enthusiasm. I'm not out for money. Part of why I don't have it, don't get me going, but I'm not sorry.

From the looks of that list, it's not likely that we're going to come up with a new twist. Well, maybe we could just make an app that accepts tithes, saves them from having to go to the church... heh heh...

Failing that, maybe I'll just have to work the Buddhist angle...
