In May, president Bush said the White House would likely veto legislation that would amend antitrust laws to allow the US to bring lawsuits against members of the OPEC. Oh, I think that George W. Bush has done it 'cause this corresponds with own interests of Mr Bush's team members. It's clear they have a stake in oil prices staying high, which however undermines country's economics. It is common knowledge that George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice and many others are joint proprietors of US oil companies (Exxon Mobil, Chevron, Texaco, Esso, Arco, Total, etc.) - that's why high oil prices turn into their own profit.
Just the same thing happened during war campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan. Certain American companies were supplying US Army with scroungy food products, low-grade uniform, cloths and even armaments! I consider that our allies in the Middle East had a chance to see for themselves that Americans are good in raising money of absolutely everything, including their own people in the Army and allies. What a shame!
Just how could anyone create a law against OPEC ? These members of OPEC are in foreign countries and as such aren't bound by US law. If they want to make the price of the product high what sort of legislation can be created that would be meaningful? OPEC is an international conglomerate and a supplier of petrol products to many companies, national and international. They are not the same thing as the corporations of Mobil, Exxon, Chevron, etc.
Where is proof of this common knowledge that you state? Please cite your sources as I've never seen proof of the proprietorship of people you mention here:

Clearly the world knows the connection with Bush and big oil. I have seen no connection with Cheney. Cheney had a major connection with Haliburton (no connection to oil). As far as Rice, I know of no corporate connection for her.
