Could you paraphrase this sentence? (Especially what does Cheers mean?)

"Cheers" is the name of a Boston bar featured in a popular television show of the same name. Part of the theme song was, "Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came..."

Basically, it's saying that Boston is a friendly city that makes people who visit happy, and makes them want to return for another visit.
