Yes we need to rid ourselves of our dependancy on oil. However it will take years, 10 or 20, to put the infrastructure in place to do away with our use of oil. Does anyone on this thread believe bush and company will push for a reduction of oil use. What did they just do with the fuel alternative bill in congress? They underfunded it like they have since the republicans have been in power. Renuable sources of energy are harder to control than oil. And who cliamed that Saudi arabia or packastan or the Isralies were our allies. They are our bought and paid for but boys. Either country would happly nuke us if they thought they could get away with it.
The Saudi's want the classified sections of the report released. IMO that is understandable since it is difficult to rebut and defend an accusation made by innuendo. IMO the pages should have been released or the senators and White House should have kept silent about it's content. If you want to disseminate secret information tell it to a congress person and put him on a Sunday morning talk show.
