I want to know is Oysters, fish and shrimps good for a type II diabetic. Also I want to start an exercise program so which one is best for me. I am 57, 5" 5' and 140 avg. weight. I do walk couple of kilometers a day everyday - five days a week. Thanks.
Usually fish diets are good for you, but there are some foods that should not be eaten more than 3Xs a week. As for excercise, you should be as active as possible - especially walking, because that's about the best and cheapest form there is. I try to walk 3 mpd. When I'm on "vacation," I have been known to walk more than 10 in a day, and I'm 71 years old.
Six days a week is good. I would try to increase your walking period from a couple of kilometers to about five kilometers per day.
You should consult with your doctor about your diet and excercise regimen; they know your health best.
