Stradee, This was the scene outside my back door a couple of days ago. I had to softly 'cluck' to get their attention. Then they just continued to graze.

Great shot, Dannon! Look at the expression on those faces. They're apprehensive but not yet frightened. You got it just perfect!

Thank you Amigo and Andrew....... The bucks were approx 50 feet away and intent upon feeding. So, my "cluck" was a very soft sound - as you know their hearing is unbelievable - and I had opened the door so softly that they had not yet heard me.

Today, I finished a Pollockesk type painting for an art show here in Atlanta - Texas that is - here is what I did =



The invitation only show is scheduled for the last weekend in September.

I'm working on another Pollockesk larger painting and after that one I'll change to something more "normal" like, uh, er, van Goghish ???

Stradee, as you well know the deer are the ghosts of the forest. I understand and am soft when I try to attract their attention.

Yeah, that was my first improv of a Pollock type painting - I'm not displeased, but, think in the future I can get it better.

They are, arn't they. Except when they knock on the porch when the pellet bins empty. Little faces are just to cute.
