I am a premed student and this scares the crap out of me. I volunteer at a hospital and I love the interaction I get with patients and the ability to help when I can even with the extremely limited contact I have with them (I am only a volunteer).

I can only hope things get better for you bud. I would hate someone who is talented enough to do what you do to be taken out of the proffesion.

I saw a robot about 10 years ago in a hospital clinical chemistry lab.

Have you seen any robots in the OR? Rolling Eyes

I saw a robot about 10 years ago in a hospital clinical chemistry lab.

No, but I don 't have much history in ORs,
in that I 've only had surgery twice.

I 've seen on TV that remote control robots
will be used by distant surgeons, for emergency purposes,
and another mechanism will be used to enable micro-surgery.
