Well isn't that pretty!
Since I have absolutely no idea what "Shall- issue", "May- issue", and "No- issue" means this doesn't make a bit of sense to me.
And exactly what "culture war" is is supposed to represent? Why would anyone wage war on culture?
It's basically saying that over the past twenty years, the right to carry firearms has grown a lot. I think.
So I guess that means people who want everyone to be able to walk around with a gun at all times are winning the culture war, which probably means that gun-control activists are losing. Something like that. I still don't know what culture he's talking about but I think that's the story here, in a nutshell.
Are we talkig about "gun culture"?
Legal v illegal?
Look at that! All the red states are turning blue!
That has to be a good thing.
I am amazed that anyone here expects Cjhsa to make a valid intellectual connection between any sociological term, such as "the culture war," and any one of his favorite obsessions, such as his hysterical point of view about firearms.
* VT Pride *
Note that VT, a highly liberal state, is the only one with unrestricted right to carry concealed. And yet you bash liberals...I'm a liberal. And this is mine:

I don't think that qualifies as "concealed".
Cool map, btw, sad facts.
On gun control, the left has generally lost the "culture war", its true.
But umm, yeah, there's other issues as well.
Take civil unions / gay marriage, for example. The conservatives may be whipping up a backlash, but purely looking at the laws state-by-state, the country's definitely moved left on that one.
Hell, we just saw every single one of the Republican presidential candidates ardently defend "dont ask dont tell". Because thats the conservative position now. Not even Brownback wants to just ban gays from the military altogether.
Win some, lose some..
Nice AR Stuh... but no, doesn't qualify as concealed....
The popularity of "black guns" has exceeded everyone's expectations.
Yeah...I know
I might for a for a P239 someday
Why not go for a bazooka? You could bring down a whole herd of whatever with one of those, and be back in time for lunch.
Good point . . . maybe Cjhsa goes in for dynamite fishing . . .
That sounds a lot more exciting than regular fishing
Funny you should say that. I was thinking of going after lakers and salmon out on the big lake this weekend.
Now, where did I leave those sticks and caps?
Are you sure you have any left over after the incident with the hippies last weekend?
And I see in the news that in George W. Bush's heartland, the first openly gay candidate for mayor of Dallas is in a dead heat with his opponent in a runoff election.
Little by little the red states are turning purple. Blue's just over the horizon.
