Quote:Paris Hilton will stay in a block that contains 12 cells, each holding two people.
It is reserved for celebrities, public officials, police officers and other high-profile inmates.
The unit is part of the Century Regional Detention Centre in Lynwood, California, which holds over 2,000 prisoners.
Los Angeles County sheriff spokesman Steve Whitmore said Hilton would have the same privileges as all other prisoners, including at least an hour out of her cell each day to shower, watch TV, take part in outdoor recreation or use the phone.
Hilton's lawyer and publicist were not immediately available for comment.
Oh yay! Glory Glory Hallelujah! There's justice in the Universe after all!

Paris Hilton has been released from jail after serving just three full days of her sentence.
BBC News

Paris Hilton is free Lets celebrate that..
Hoping Sheriff Baca will soon be free of his job.
Why would you wish Ill will apon a man you do not even know? By chance do you know the circumstances surrounding his decision?
Isn't 3 full days incarceration considered excessive for a guilty celebrity in Los Angeles County? I'm not sure that doesn't set a new record.
There are some questionable decisions by Baca in the past. Not that I have all the details on that.
She's not collecting brownie points for that one.

The court shud have suspended sentence
on condition that she HIRE A CHAUFFER.
Waste of jail space.
These much heralded troubles of celebrities result
from their being too stingy to hire CHAUFFERS,
or even to take a cab; bunch of cheapskates.
